Word of God initially Hand Waves this by claiming that Moka simply protects herself from the sun by wearing long-sleeved clothes, but then again, Moka is also shown on more than one occasion frolicking at the beach in a bikini in broad daylight. Rosario + Vampire: Moka Akashiya is frequently shown walking around in the sun to no ill effect.Though he still wears shades when outdoors, and switches to a tinted pair of pince-nez while indoors.
A flashback reveals that it's because he repeatedly exposed himself to high-powered UV lamps to gradually build resistance to sunlight, until he finally became immune to it.
In Phantom Quest Corp., Bosco is the only known vampire who's capable of walking around in broad daylight and even runs a teashop during normal business hours.UQ Holder!: Touta, Evangeline's adopted son and sire, is also shown to have no problem going out in sunlight from the moment he's turned.She even has "High Daylight Walker" as one of her many titles and epithets.
